Welcome to my new blog!

Hello welcome to my new blog ‘MAKER & MAKERS’ This is obviously going to be about a maker, me, and other makers who I will be visiting, reviewing books by, doing courses and loads of other stuff.
I will be featuring interviews, visits, book reviews, examples of work, projects, tool improvement, product reviews and of course things I’m yet to think of.

Im doing this to help to get myself back into woodwork, making things and life I general. Also I want to promote great crafts people. In 2009 my friends garage which I was using as my workshop was robbed and vandalised and since late 2009 my health has been very poor, and is just now getting better. So this truly is starting from the beginning again. So because of my health this year is mostly going to be about other makers, a couple of courses and just working on the basics (with a couple of small projects thrown in). At the moment I have a greenwood chair making course with mike abott in the spring and will be booking myself in for a 4 weekish classical guitar making course in the summer this year.

So I will be featuring makers of all kind but I’m mostly interested in stringed instrument making, mainly the acoustic guitar, and other woodcraft. Saying that though metalwork and pocket knife making is something I realy hope to cover.

Anyway after all that serious rambling I’d like to say happy new year to anyone who may have made it this far down.
